Need a midweek break? Wednesday Night Open Play has a temporary new home for the night! The Mill at Sutter’s is a full-service restaurant and bar, and they’re setting up their dining room for us. New to board games or a seasoned player, come unwind, roll some dice, and connect with a great gaming community.

RSVP in the comments below - it matters more than ever!

The Mill sets up its tables based on our headcount. Your RSVP tells them how many tables to set up and how much of the dining room to hold for us. It also helps our hosts decide which games to bring and when to start teaching new titles. Please comment before Wednesday using this format:

Name / Yes, No, or Maybe / ETA

Example: “Dave / Yes / arriving 6:00 PM”

  • Yes - Include your ETA so we can plan game starts around your arrival.

  • Maybe - Tell us what would tip you to yes and when you’d likely arrive.

  • No - Still comment! It helps us get an accurate headcount. Catch you next time.

Food and drinks at The Mill

  • The Mill has a full menu and bar with table service. Order from your server.

  • Please do not bring outside food or drinks.

  • There’s no cover charge and no minimum. We ask everyone to order something - a meal, an appetizer, or a drink.

  • Please tip your server well. They’re taking care of a big group!

What to expect

  • All are welcome - casual players, hardcore strategists, and everyone in between.

  • Play your favorites or learn something new, from light party games to deep strategy titles.

  • Bring a game to share if you have one you love teaching.

  • Come for an hour or stay until 9.
